Over the past 20 years, I’ve worked in fast-moving, international environments: from high-tech start-ups and global corporations to big pharma and NGOs. I’ve led teams across regions, cultures and time zones, and what all those experiences taught me is surprisingly simple: the industry changes, the job titles change, but people don’t.

What truly separates managers from leaders has nothing to do with authority or hierarchy. It’s care. Care for people’s wellbeing, their growth, their sense of meaning and their ability to achieve without burning out. The best leaders understand that their role is not to control, but to serve, set an example and grow alongside their teams. And that requires constant learning, reflection and self-development.

I created the First Time Manager programme for those who feel the pull towards leadership and want to prepare consciously and those who have just stepped into their first managerial role and want to lead with confidence, clarity and humanity.

If all you rely on is authority, you may get compliance, but you won’t build trust, ownership or real engagement. Leadership is built through curiosity, responsibility and the willingness to show up as a human first.

My aim is simple: to help you become the manager you once wished you had.
